Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut DLC Should Remain Free Forever

We reported previously of BioWare's plans to launch Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut, a free DLC pack that will expand on the game's controversial ending, in order to provide closure on unanswered questions. Despite this announcement citing a DLC expiry date of April 12, 2014, EA have told Joystiq that there are "no plans to ever pull that content down or charge for it."

We reported previously of BioWare‘s plans to launch Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut, a free DLC pack that will expand on the game’s controversial ending, in order to provide closure on unanswered questions. Despite this announcement citing a DLC expiry date of April 12, 2014, EA have told Joystiq that there are “no plans to ever pull that content down or charge for it.” Apparently the date was only present because of an internal EA policy of assigning expiry dates to all free content.
