Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots Will See A December Digital Release

During the rumor-filled days leading up to the launch of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots, many were stunned and in disbelief that director Hideo Kojima had found a way to fill up an entire Blu-Ray disc. This was supposed to be our brand-new advanced format for storage space that would see us never having to switch discs again, but here we were, only one year into the lifecycle of the PlayStation 3 with one game already maxed out.

As time went on, though, technology improved and newer models of the PlayStation 3 featuring much bigger hard drives were released. There was still no way to download Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots, but all of that will change soon, as a $25 digital version will become available through PSN on December 17th.

If, for whatever reason, you haven’t picked up a physical copy yet and have never played Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots, I highly suggest purchasing this digital version. It’s one of the console’s best tiles and is an experience that you should not miss out on.
