Microsoft Reveals First Wave Of Xbox Live Games For Windows 8

Microsoft has revealed the first wave of Xbox Live games that will be available for purchase on Windows 8, when the operating system launches on October 26th.

Microsoft has revealed the first wave of Xbox Live games that will be available for purchase on Windows 8, when the operating system launches on October 26th.

This first offering consists of 40 titles from multiple video game studios, including: Rovio, Miniclip, Gameloft, ZeptoLab, Glu Mobile, and Halbrick Studios. Additionally, 29 of the launch games are from Microsoft Studios, with some of them being exclusive to Windows 8.

PC gamers will be able to buy the Xbox Live titles through the Windows 8 Xbox Games app, which has been conveniently preinstalled by Microsoft. All Xbox Live titles will feature Achievements, and many will take advantage of other features like leaderboards, and multiplayer modes.

The first wave of Xbox Live games available on Windows 8 includes;
