Mortal Kombat X To Include “At Least” One Guest Fighter

Series co-creator, Ed Boon, has confirmed that Mortal Kombat X will feature "at least" one guest fighter when it launches next year. The man behind one of gaming's most beloved and most mature franchises made the announcement at last weekend's Evo 2014 tournament, in Las Vegas. His announcement was to the point, though, in an attempt to avoid hinting at who the character will end up being.

Series co-creator, Ed Boon, has confirmed that Mortal Kombat X will feature “at least” one guest fighter when it launches next year. The man behind one of gaming’s most beloved and most mature franchises made the announcement at last weekend’s Evo 2014 tournament, in Las Vegas. His announcement was to the point, though, in an attempt to avoid hinting at who the character will end up being.

Boon’s statement won’t be surprising to Mortal Kombat vets, who are used to being able to play as guest fighters. The series’ well-liked 2011 entry went so far as to offer a couple of them, those being PlayStation exclusive Kratos (God of War) and horror icon Freddy Krueger, who was made available as paid-DLC.

This news comes to us on the heels of a recent reveal, which confirmed that Raiden will be playable within the game. You can check out his trailer below.

Mortal Kombat X will bring its gruesome fatalities to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC in 2015.
