This year’s a big one for the Avatar franchise, as a new game for mobile called Avatar: Reckoning is coming, on top of the cinematic release of ‘Avatar 2’. The game is set to be an MMO RPG Shooter title within the world of Pandora which the 2009 film was also set.
You’ll be able to join Na’vi clans which will work together to fend off waves of RDA troops. You can get in on the action solo along with a group of friends in multiplayer.
This new mobile title will be developed by Archosaur Games, the team behind other games like World of Kings and more.
While Reckoning will take over the mobile space for Avatar in 2022, there is also a bigger game planned for consoles and PC coming. Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment previously revealed details on Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. This will be a single-player action RPG that will also include a PvP multiplayer mode.
Those in Canada can register to try out Avatar: Reckoning for themselves later this month, but other fans around the world will have to wait for their shot. You can keep up with news on the new mobile title via its official discord page here.
Avatar 2 is set to hit theaters on Dec. 16, 2022.
