Word comes by way of the company’s ongoing PlayStation Meeting, where PS4 architect Mark Cerny confirmed that the revised console will support “true” 4K gaming and HDR display, before parading a series of gameplay demonstrations that revealed the likes of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Insomniac’s in-development Spider-Man title all taking full advantage of the higher resolution.

Packing a 1TB hard drive, Cerny revealed that “the vision is to take the PS4 experience to extraordinary new levels. Our goal is to deliver high-fidelity graphical experiences.” It should be noted that all existing games released for PlayStation 4 to date will run on this new PS4 Pro, a hardware upgrade designed to exist alongside the standard version. What’s more, you’ll also need to own a 4K TV to get the very best experience that Sony is currently offering up.

Finally, in line with previous rumors, the boosted GPU and performance levels of PS4 Neo will pave the way for a more stable experience when using PlayStation VR. Cerny also noted that those VR titles that are rendered through the Pro console will receive a slight visual bump, too.

Look for PS4 Pro to launch on November 10 for $399. Below, you’ll find a comprehensive overview of the console’s stats (click to embiggen).
