There’s plenty to be excited about when it comes to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Over the past month, Nintendo has been slowly releasing new trailers and videos, showcasing gameplay mechanics such as flying and aerial combat, Link’s bow and arrow types and more. Earlier this week, a new gameplay video emerged on the series’ Facebook page, which showcases Link’s cooking skills, and the occasional mishap.

The video, which you can check out above, follows Link as he makes and tries out a handful of recipes, all of which have impact the gameplay in unique ways. His first dish (a hearty helping of steamed mushrooms) not only refills all of Link’s health, but provides a small amount of ‘extra’ or ‘temporary’ health, which makes Link all the more formidable in combat, as he’s able to take more damage without passing out.

The second recipe that Link tries out is a mix of spicy sautéed peppers, which provide him with a temporary immunity to cold weather. Of course, Link doesn’t always hit a home run, as his third creation is more of a dubious mess than anything.

You’ll be able to put your cooking skills to the test when The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild releases next year on the Wii U and Nintendo NX.
