As for what you can expect to see on January 12/13, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will assuredly be present in one form or another and, contrary to what we’d heard prior, Link’s next adventure could well see a release alongside the Switch, although it may be delayed to later in the year for European markets.

If Breath of the Wild does miss the all-important March launch window, we can only assume the rest of the Switch’s line-up will make up for it. A new Mario title was already spotted during the original reveal trailer, so the console won’t hit the shelves without its mascot, it seems.

Aside from the potential game announcements, Nintendo has promised that a price and firm release date for the Switch will be cemented during the event, which is currently slated for a generic March launch window. We’ll be covering the event in its entirety so you don’t miss a beat come January 12. Roll on next week!
