There’s A Nintendo Direct Tomorrow! [Update: Watch It Here]

One of my favorite things is happening tomorrow. I'm not sure what it is about Nintendo Direct streams, but they get me all restless and excited like few things in the gaming world can. Maybe it's the prospect of getting a truckload of news outside of E3 or a tradeshow. Though Directs sometimes come up empty, they've also been known to deliver completely unexpected information avalanches, be it new titles, executives holding bananas, or everything in between.

One of my favorite things is happening tomorrow. I’m not sure what it is about Nintendo Direct streams, but they get me all restless and excited like few things in the gaming world can. Maybe it’s the prospect of scoring a truckload of Nintendo news outside of E3 or another trade show. Though Directs sometimes come up empty, they’ve also been known to deliver completely unexpected information avalanches, be it with new titles, executives holding bananas, or everything in between.

We don’t know much about tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct other than the fact that it will be “focused on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games launching later this year.” Given the titles we already know will be coming around that time, it seems fair to assume that the likes of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Super Mario 3D World, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds will all show their faces. Will new titles be revealed? It’s tough to say, but I sure hope so. Maybe we’ll even hear more about Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem. Suspense!

The stream starts at 7am Pacific time here in North America, so set your alarm and watch it over breakfast or something! I can’t think of a better way to start the day, unless of course it proves to be a massive disappointment. For the time being, I’ll hang on to my optimism. If all else fails, Mr. Iwata can always just whip out his Luigi hat, and everyone will love him again.

[Update] The Nintendo Direct is over, but you can watch the entire presentation in the video below.
