During their NicoNico presentation, Atlus announced that P4U: Persona 4 The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold will be coming to the PlayStation 3. A follow-up to 2012's Persona 4: Arena, the fighter is currently set for a 2014 release in Japan.

During their NicoNico presentation, Atlus announced that P4U: Persona 4 The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold will be coming to the PlayStation 3. A follow-up to 2012’s Persona 4: Arena, the fighter is currently set for a 2014 release in Japan.

Unfortunately, not much else was revealed about the game, but there were some plot details presented in the announcement trailer. While I do not speak or read Japanese and thus cannot offer a ton of help with deciphering the plot, I did notice that Yukari Takeba and Junpei Iori of Persona 3 make an appearance here, which indicates that they should be playable.

I enjoyed Persona 4: Arena quite a bit, even though it’s not the type of fighter I normally find myself getting into. The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold seems like more of an add-on than a full fledged sequel though. More of a Street Fighter 3: Third Strike instead of a Street Fighter IV if you will. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it’s something worth noting.

We will have more information on P4U: Persona 4 The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold (god I wish that was shorter) when it becomes available. The announcement trailer is posted below though, so take a look at it and let us know what you think in the comments section.
