505 Games and Overkill Software are getting ready to release Payday 2 and today, they have announced the details on the Collector’s Edition of the game. In what appears to be a North American release only, the bundle will come with special packaging, a clown mask, blue rubber gloves, a $100 bill wallet and a copy of the soundtrack.
The game is set to drop on August 13th and is now available to pre-order for a very reasonable $59.99. Though the items included here seem to be mostly of the novelty category, I suppose that it’s still a cool little package and could be worth it for fans of the series.
Collector’s edition or not, we still suggest pre-ordering the upcoming 505 Games release. The first game, Payday: The Heist, was a ton of fun and I’ve been eagerly anticipating the sequel ever since it was announced.
For those who don’t know, the game is a first person shooter that essentially has you teaming up with other players to rob banks. In addition to the information about the Collector’s Edition, we also received a dev diary that looks at how the sequel will differ from the original game and gives us a better idea of what to expect.
