One of the main reasons people are interested to play Hogwarts Legacy is because of the idea that they can finally enter Hogwarts and become a wizard/witch. It’s a Harry Potter RPG that isn’t bound to linear storytelling compared to the previous Harry Potter video game adaptations. But did you know that other titles can give players a similar opportunity? That’s right, Hogwarts Legacy isn’t the only video game where you could be a wizard and those titles are finally getting recognition as the game enters early access for Deluxe holders.

Ever since it was revealed that there are only 26 spells in Hogwarts Legacy and images of the game’s character UI were leaked on social media, searching for other alternatives became a field day for those boycotting the upcoming Harry Potter game, as they believed there are many other titles out there that could give a much better wizarding experience.

Indie games that can give players an alternative magic school experience have begun to promote themselves on Twitter. Meanwhile, old and existing titles, like Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, are brought up once again since it’s a cheaper title that could provide a much better magic school experience.

Meanwhile, other titles exist that don’t really have that magic school experience but still allow players to become a wizard, witches, or powerful spellcasters. And the best part, some of these titles have more than 26 spells to choose from. Why give $70 to a literal billionaire when you can save some pennies and support indie developers or other notable game devs who can provide a better experience?

So if you’re still torn about whether or not Hogwarts Legacy, just note that there are alternative titles out there that could provide a much more engaging magical experience. Not to mention, you get to save some money and support indie and already-established game developers who’ve done this for years.
