Game publisher Atlus USA has announced that the only Shin Megami Tensei: Persona title to never before be released outside of Japan will finally be making its way to North America later this year.

Part of the RPG glory days, Persona 2: Innocent Sin is considered by many as the best title in the Persona series and RPG fans have long waited for a chance to find out for themselves. In the game, players will control a group of residents of Sumaru City when a rumor becomes reality and they are trust into a strange world where they will have to fight for survival as they work together and uncover the cause of the mysterious phenomena before it is too late.

Gamers can expect a few enhancements to the game when it releases later this year including remastered visuals and audio, a remixed musical score (with the option to switch between the remixed and original version), new quests, a new intro animation and a streamlined user interface. The game is expected to be available for the Sony PSP this Fall.
