Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 Coming Next Spring

Introducing the “funniest, craziest, most over the top shooter experience” to be found at the Microsoft press conference, EA announced Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 this morning. The sequel to the multiplayer third-person shooter was announced with a colourful, action-packed trailer showing off the franchise’s characteristic sense of humor, and love of vegetable-based violence.

Set in the undead paradise of Zomburbia, the Kenny Loggins-backed trailer suggests more oddball character classes will be available than ever. For the zombies, pirates and Titanfall-esque mechs are in vogue. For the plants, you can expect an ear of corn with rapid-fire kernel capabilities, and a mechatronic orange with sunglasses.
