Ahead of Sony’s second PlayStation 4 reveal at E3 next month — and more importantly, ahead of Microsoft’s next Xbox reveal tomorrow — the PlayStation Blog has released a new teaser trailer for their next generation console.

The video opens up with a very blurry image of a black box, and then quickly cuts to several extremely up close and personal shots of what appears to be the DualShock 4 controller and the actual console itself — at least that is what we are assuming they are shots of. You can also check out this imgur album to see all the close up hardware shots in still form.

Sony’s E3 2013 press conference will be held in Los Angeles on June 10th at 6pm PT. Currently, we know a good deal about the DualShock 4 and we have some limited information about the actual console itself. Hopefully, at a minimum, Sony will let us see the actual PlayStation 4 console and give us a better release window than “Holiday 2013.”

We will report all the Sony E3 announcements as they happen. In the meantime, check out the PlayStation 4 teaser trailer below and let us know your thoughts in the comment section.
