PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale's official website slipped up yesterday and accidentally revealed three new characters that will soon be added to game's roster; Sackboy (LittleBigPlanet), Raiden (Metal Gear Solid), and Rachet (Rachet & Clank). PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale‘s official website slipped up yesterday and accidentally revealed three new characters that will soon be added to game’s roster; Sackboy (LittleBigPlanet), Raiden (Metal Gear Solid), and Rachet (Rachet & Clank). Additionally, eagle-eyed posters on NeoGAF were able to spot the game’s box art, and background images of Ryu Hayabusa (Ninja Gaiden), Kazuya (Tekken), and Jin (Tekken).

All the relevant images were quickly removed from the site, but the Internet is the proverbial bell that cannot be un-rung, so all the leaked screenshots have been captured for all to see.

Thanks to the PlayStation All-Stars beta leak from a couple of weeks ago we already knew that Sackboy and Raiden were in the game. The other characters listed above have not been mentioned before, and are most likely part of Sony’s planned roster reveal for GamesCom next week.

Sony has a very long history of being completely incompetent when it comes to keeping a secret about upcoming games or hardware. In fact, I can’t remember the last time that the company actually surprised anyone with any announcement of even the smallest importance (the surprise Wonderbook E3 reveal doesn’t count as being important). Given that history, I’m not at all surprised to see them accidentally leak out information again. However, this is starting to get to the point where the leaks appear to be a deliberate PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale marking plan.

At any rate, for now I suppose this is all officially a rumor. Just try and act surprised when all the “new” PlayStation All-Stars characters are announced next week during GamesCom.
