Sony has announced that PlayStation Plus subscribers can look forward to Bit.Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend Of Rhythm Alien joining the free Instant Game Collection when the PS Store updates tomorrow afternoon.

In addition to the free IGC title, Sony has also loaded down tomorrow’s update with a ton of discounts for PlayStation Plus members, starting with the Good Friends character pack for Runner 2. This bit of DLC adds six new playable characters to Runner 2: Josef (Machinarium), Spelunky Guy (Spelunky), Razputin (Psychonauts), Dr. Fetus (Super Meat Boy), Quote (Cave Story), and Invisible CommanderVideo (from… Runner 2). Normally the pack runs $2.99, but Plus members can grab it for $2.39 this week.

The next discount on the list is the Tomb Raider bundle (Regular Price: $44.99; PS Store Sale Price: $22.49; PS Plus Price: $20.24). This digital edition of the 2013 title includes the full game, a 3-pack bundle of the weapons Agent 47 uses in Hitman: Absolution, the Shanty Town multiplayer map, and the Hunter, Aviatrix and Guerilla outfits for Lara. Additionally, the bundle includes a copy of the game Quantum Conundrum. If you have yet to buy a copy of Tomb Raider (which is fantastic all on its own), now appears to be the time to jump in.

Finally, tomorrow’s PSN update kicks off the first week of the PS Vita Japanese Games Sale. Vita owners will be able to take advantage of up to 50% off select Japanese-developed games, with PlayStation Plus members receiving up to 75% off. The full list of Vita games included in the sale this week are:

  • Street Fighter X Tekken Regular $39.99, Sale $27.99, Plus $19.59
  • Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus $39.99, $27.99, $19.59
  • Guilty Gear Accent XX Core + R $14.99, $10.49, $7.34
  • Atelier Totori Plus: The Adventurer of Arland $39.99, $27.99, $19.59
  • Silent Hill: Book of Memories $29.99, $14.99, $7.50
  • Ridge Racer PS Vita $24.99, $12.49, $6.25
  • Touch My Katamari $14.99, $7.49, $3.75
  • Soul Sacrifice $35.99, $24.99, $17.49
  • Gravity Rush $35.99, $24.99, Free

Overall, I’d say this is a pretty solid PlayStation Plus update, especially for anyone who happens to own a PS Vita. Make sure to drop a line in the comments and let us know which titles you will be picking up in this week’s sale.
