Sure, it’s expensive, but can you put a price on it? If you are able to afford it, you’ll get the entire Fellowship as well as Elrond, Arwen, Bilbo Baggins, Gloin, and a few random elves, all in Lego form. The set has 6,167 bricks and it’s 15 inches tall, 30 inches wide, and 20 inches deep, according to LEGO.

Those with an inkling for building can create Frodo’s bedroom, Elrond’s council, the Tower, and of course all the sun-bleached fall fauna that surrounds the grounds, and the different sections can be displayed separately: “for example, the Council of Elrond™ can be lifted off the main model.” Here’s more of Lego’s description:

“The building set is decorated with foliage that creates the feeling of being deep inside the Rivendell™ forest and includes magical details including an elven forge, Elrond’s cluttered study, the Shards of Narsil™, plus paintings and statues from the history of Middle-earth™. It also comes with 15 minifigures to bring favorite scenes to life. The minifigures have detachable legs, so you can seat them around the table to recreate the iconic Council of Elrond™ scene.”

Here’s what it looks like:

Lego isn’t even pretending to market this one to children. In a recent ad they showed two adults simply enamored with the set and playing with it. The tagline? “Adults Welcome.” It’s also rated at 18 plus years of age.

LEGO Design master, Mike Psiaki said “We know many of our fans have been anticipating a set like this for a long-time – but a great LEGO The Lord Of The Rings set is never late, it arrives precisely when it means to!” He continued:

“It was important to us that we created something really special in this recreation of Rivendell. We aimed to add as much detail as possible and create an engaging experience throughout the build to delight fans recreating scenes or proudly displaying Elrond’s home. We are really pleased with the final design and how we have brought Rivendell to life in brick form.”

The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell set goes on sale on March 8. Lego VIP members can get early access on March 5.
