Xbox Live Gold members will also gain access to Monkey Island 2: Special Edition and Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime for a select period of time. The former will open up for Xbox 360 owners on February 1 and remain on the Games With Gold roster until February 15, at which point it’ll be replaced by LucasArts’ cult classic The Force Unleashed. Expect the studio’s galactic actioner to hold its place on the digital library right up until February 28.

In terms of Xbox One, couch co-op shooter Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime will be available to download for Gold members all throughout February, while Project Cars is set to screech onto Microsoft’s lineup on February 16. It’ll remain available through until March 15.

As always, Microsoft’s freebies are comprised of titles from both the Xbox One and Xbox 360 libraries, and it’s important to remember that all four games will be playable on Xbox One thanks to the hardware’s backwards compatibility feature. Last and certainly not least, there’s still some time to grab last month’s Games With Gold offerings, which include World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap and Killer Instinct Season 2 Ultra Edition.

Tell us, what are your thoughts on February’s Games With Gold lineup? Project Cars is certainly a welcome addition to the fold, particularly when you consider that Slightly Mad Studios is in the process of building a follow-up for release this fall. Sticking to tradition, Project Cars 2 has since turned to the community for funding support, though the dev team is confident such an approach can result in a racing simulator built by the community, for the community.
