The game is a direct sequel to the 2012 Project X Zone, which was also the follow-up to the 2005 Japan-only Namco X Capcom. Once again, players will control dozens of familiar characters from the libraries of Namco, Sega and Capcom in turn-based strategy-RPG combat across dozens of levels, fighting new and familiar faces to stop evil from spreading across various worlds.

Iconic characters like Mega Man X, Jin Kazama, and Ryu will return from previous entries, along with such newcomers as Phoenix Wright and Kazuma Kiryu from the Yakuza series. For the first time, Nintendo characters will join the fray, as Chrom and Lucina from Fire Emblem Awakening as well as Fiora from Xenoblade Chronicles will appear.

We will have a full review for Project X Zone 2 online soon. In the meantime, get a sneak peek at seeing some of your favorite characters together in the trailer above.
