Are you still waiting to receive your codes for past Gears Of War games as part of the promotion for The Ultimate Edition on Xbox One? If are you, don’t fret just yet, as developer The Coalition says you’re still getting them, but they may not arrive until late December.
In a post on the official Gears Of War forums, the studio’s director of community Adam Fletcher said that:
The goal is to have these out on weekly waves through the end of the year with the exception of the holiday week in late December. We will continue to post and update everyone on exactly when these waves go out. Please consult our FAQ if you have any questions regarding the Gears Collection program and for any support links if you are having issues with your tokens or need assistance due to them being accidentally deleted.
For those unaware, free digital copies of Gears Of War, Gears Of War 2, Gears Of War 3 and Gears Of War Judgement were offered for free to those who buy and play Gears Of War: Ultimate Edition online before December 31, 2015. The first set of codes were sent out on November 19, and another wave of them are due to be sent out this coming Thursday.
Each and every previous Gears Of War title will be playable on the Xbox 360 as well through Xbox One through backwards compatibility, with the codes being delivered through the Xbox Live message system.
