PS3-Exclusive Co-Op Pack Releasing For Far Cry 3 In January

It looks like the PlayStation 3 may be the system of choice for fans of Far Cry 3, at least for those interested in getting the most out of the game’s cooperative missions. An update earlier today on the official PlayStation blog announced that a downloadable pack called High Tides, containing two new co-op missions, will be released exclusively for Sony’s console sometime in January.

High Tides will follow the further adventures of co-op protagonists Leonard, Tisha, Mikhail and Callum with two new chapters, known as Jailbreak and Redemption. The announcement promises, “New missions, tougher fights, bigger competitions, some great up-close time with your favorite characters, and explosive moments unlike anything you’ve seen before”.

Further details regarding a possible release for the Xbox 360 and PC versions, as well as more specific gameplay details, were not announced, but it’s likely we’ll be hearing more in the coming weeks, seeing how January isn’t far away. As always, we will keep you updated on more Far Cry 3 news as it drops.
