With Forza Horizon 3 just a day away from full release on Xbox One and Windows 10, Microsoft has confirmed that the original game in the series, released for the Xbox 360 back in 2012, is being removed from digital sale next month.

As per VideoGamer, the spinoff racer along with all of its DLC will be removed from Microsoft’s Xbox Store on October 20, so if you’ve yet to pick it up and want to start the series from the beginning, you’ve got just a few weeks left to avoid having to seek out a physical copy at your local store.

For those of you who already own the digital version and any of its add-on content, you need not worry – all existing purchases remain safe from deletion.

As for Forza Horizon 3, Playground Games’ latest adventure to take place at the Horizon Festival launches tomorrow, September 27 and is billed as the first game to take full advantage of high dynamic range on the Xbox One S. Just one game – NBA 2K17 – has utilized the feature previously.

Of course, if you decided to pick up the title’s Ultimate Edition for a cool $100, then you’ve probably already spent a sizeable portion of time on Forza Horizon 3 by way of it including four days early access.
