Read Only Memories Will Bring Cyberpunk Adventure To The PlayStation 4 And PlayStation Vita In 2016

Following a successful launch on Windows PC and Mac last month, MidBoss has announced that they will be bringing Read Only Memories to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Although currently without a release date, John James, Lead Artist at MidBoss, has clarified that the title will launch in 2016.

Taking place in the year 2064, Read Only Memories is a cyberpunk adventure heavily influenced by classics such as Snatcher and Gabriel Knight. Struggling to make it in the tough world of journalism, your boring life is interrupted by a ROM (Relationship and Organizational Manager) named Turing. The point-and-click adventure has you and Turing discovering the secrets behind the technologically advance city you currently reside in.

Funded through Kickstarter back in 2013, the debut effort from MidBoss has received positive notices for several different reasons. The vibrant colorful visuals are a throwback to classic point-and-click adventures, while the mature storyline has been praised for being gender inclusive. Even on a platform that has seen several unique genres flourish over the past few years, Read Only Memories has managed to stand out and make quite the impression, and we can’t wait for it to arrive on Sony’s hardware.
