The announcement of a brand new first-party exclusive has been a long time coming for the console, but the additional news that Recore will be headed up by Mega Man and Metroid Prime creator, Keiji Inafune, is sure to get fans of those excited.

No information beyond the announcement trailer was included, but the game certainly looks intriguing. We can only speculate on gameplay, but the presence of several different robots powered by spherical energy devices makes us think that the feature will be integral to Recore. The presence of a female character in the trailer – who could very well be the protagonist- obviously conjures up inevitable comparisons with Inafune’s own Samus Aran as well.

Check out the clip above and let us know what direction you think Recore will take with its gameplay.
