Update: As the press conference went on, more information was mentioned about the 360 version of the game. It is said to include all of the updates the PC version has received since its launch. A representative also mentioned that the game will be close to, or on par with its PC counterpart, in terms of visual fidelity.
The Witcher 2 developer CD Projekt Red held its Summer Days presentation this afternoon in Los Angeles. During the event they mentioned that their intentions to bring their critically acclaimed role-playing game to the XBOX 360 before the end of 2011. It’s sweet confirmation for those of us console owners who haven’t had a chance to play the much talked about original game and its sequel.
The game was previously rated for the 360 by the ESRB, sparking speculation that a console version could be in the works.
Hopefully the game’s beautiful visuals engine, well-designed gameplay and lewd subplots will translate well to a console controller. We’ll keep you updated when we hear more about this new version of one of May’s biggest releases.
