Is The Respawn Entertainment Game Going To Be An XBOX Exclusive?

The world is waiting with baited breath to see what Respawn Entertainment is working on. The company is hard at work on what is being touted as "Electronic Arts' answer to the Call of Duty series" but aside from that, we don't know a whole lot about the project. What we do know though is that the game may be arriving exclusively for Microsoft's next XBOX, which is still unnamed but will be revealed this May.

The world is waiting with baited breath to see what Respawn Entertainment is cooking up for us. The company is hard at work on what is being touted as “Electronic Arts’ answer to the Call of Duty series” but aside from that, we don’t know a whole lot about the project. What we do know though is that the game may be arriving exclusively for Microsoft’s next XBOX, which is still unnamed but will be revealed this May.

So, before we dive into this, let’s recap what we know about the game so far. Firstly, it may be titled Titan and is being described as an always-on, multiplayer-focused online shooter. It is said to pit teams of “futuristic soldiers against one another.” Players will also be aided by giant mechs as they fight against each other in the fictional universe.

Kotaku reports that Respawn is working exclusively on the next XBOX version while another studio has been asked to work on the XBOX 360 version. Now, while this news is still unconfirmed, it’s not hard to see it turning to be true. Then again, if it’s going to be a console exclusive, then we have to ask, how can it be a Call of Duty killer? It would have to appear on other platforms to compete with Activision’s giant.

The new XBOX event is being held on May 21st, 2013 and right now, there’s a lot left up in the air regarding what Microsoft has in store for us. Hopefully, we get some answers on not only what Respawn Entertainment has planned for us but also what exactly the company’s new console is all about.

Stay tuned for more updates!
