It’s here! The official reveal trailer for the MUCH-anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. After some new screens and info leaked out this morning, we now have the full-blown reveal trailer, and boy is it exciting.

This time around, Treyarch is moving past both World War II and Vietnam/The Cold War, having decided to take the game into the future instead. We do get a bit of back story with the new trailer, and we’re told that the game will be set in 2025, which is going to allow the series to really expand and give us something new for once. Plus, the tech looks awesome and will surely be a ton of fun to use.

Future setting aside, this looks very much like a Call of Duty game, and I’m sure it will play like one too. Truthfully, most of the Call of Duty games feel very similar, and I’m really hoping that we get something truly different with Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. I’ve always been a CoD fan and though some of the last few games feel like they’ve been heavily recycled, I’ll still be there on day one to purchase Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

After all, the game features horseback riding. Horseback riding in a Call of Duty game? What more can you ask for? Plus, I think I saw some aircraft gameplay in there too!

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is currently scheduled for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. It will be released on November 13, 2012.

Check out the trailer below.

“Pushing the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare.”
