Save Six Bucks With The WWE 2K14 Season Pass

Ah, the joy of saving six dollars. There's nothing quite like it. Downloadable content in games has become so popular for most titles worth playing over the course of this generation, and despite a few instances of broken promises and shattered dreams, season passes usually stand to save the player at least a little bit of cash, as opposed to buying all the DLC individually. This phenomenon holds true for WWE 2K14 as well.

Ah, the joy of saving six dollars. There’s nothing quite like it. Downloadable content in games has become wildly popular for most titles worth playing over the course of this generation, and despite a few instances of broken promises and shattered dreams, season passes usually stand to save the player at least a little bit of cash. This phenomenon holds true for WWE 2K14 as well.

2K has announced that its wrestling title will recieve “at least” three DLC packs, all of which will be covered by the $19.99 season pass. The first pack, a $9 bundle slated for a November release, will be all about the NWO fighters – Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Macho Man (ooh, yeah!!), and Curt Hennig will be included, to name a few. As a kid I used to collect pro wrestler action figures, and I never realized how weird it was to name a wrestling division the “New World Order.” Whose creepy idea was that, anyways?

The second DLC set, rumored to be worth $8 (and by rumored, I mean confirmed), will shift focus to big names of WWE, including Fandango, Big E. Langston, and Summer Rae. In addition, the player will gain access to a combined 30 new moves and taunts, which I’m sure will be quite a thrill for anybody who plays the game competitively. All I know is that this pack will let me perform something called a “two-handed chokeslam,” so I’m pretty much sold. Sounds deadly.

The final $9 pack will arrive in January and bring even more icons of pro wrestling yore, such as my good buddy Dusty Rhodes, and my ultimate homeboy Jake “The Snake” Roberts (hey, I’m trying here, okay?) There will also be “superstar parts” included with the pack, which are essentially notable aspects of famous wrestlers that can be applied at will in the game’s creation suite. These include Goldberg and The Undertaker, plus some more.

So according to my math, you can save about six US dollars by getting the season pass. Worth it. Maga-fans of WWE 2K14 should check out the press release below to sniff out anything not mentioned here.

As for me, delivering all that info made me feel like The Undertaker just socked my jaw and spanked my buttocks, so I’d better rest up before I even think about downloading.
