While the original Runescape is set to celebrate its 15th anniversary this year, Old School Runescape is set to join the festivities with content updates of its own. Starting today, the first region of Zeah comes exclusively to players in Old School Runescape after a long period in development.

This first section of Zeah will feature the city of Great Kourend and will have you choosing sides with one of the five warring factions across the towering metropolis. Your allegiances within each faction can help you gain access to new content and upgrades, and may even see you drafted in to keep the peace in the city’s day-to-day upkeep.

Mathew Kemp, Old School Runescape‘s product manager, explained how proud he is of the team that’s worked so hard to drive the early success of the game:

Our dedicated development team has been beavering away on Zeah for quite some time, so it’s fantastic that we can finally unlock the doors to Great Kourend. The launch of an entire landmass exclusive to Old School RuneScape over the course of 2016, and the new content it will bring to our excellent community, is really exciting. Zeah also underlines the success Old School has experienced since its launch in 2013.

This is set to be the first of three major updates to Old School Runescape in 2016, so if you’re looking to capture that original Runescape feel then this could certainly be the year to do so.
