Scribblenauts Unlimited, the latest entry in developer 5th Cell‘s popular puzzle game series, has already had a Wii U version showcased recently at E3. However, the series has its roots in mobile gaming, with previous entries on the DS and iPhone, so it comes as no surprise to learn that Scribblenauts Unlimited will also be coming to the 3DS.
The first Scribblenauts game for Nintendo‘s newer handheld will continue to feature the series’ trademark puzzle solving based around typing words that then become physical in-game objects. A new trailer has been released showcasing the 3DS version, and it can be viewed below. An example was shown featuring a feather being created and used to get a dinosaur to sneeze out a human that it had eaten.
In addition, Scribblenauts Unlimited will be the first game in the series to have a concrete plot, with accompanying cutscenes featuring series protagonist Maxwell. The 3DS version will also make use of the system’s StreetPass feature “to discover creative solutions”, according to the trailer.
Scribblenauts Unlimited is scheduled for release later this year. We will keep you updated as more news on the game develops.
