Skylanders Swap Force, the third entry in Activision’s popular toy-based series, was announced earlier this year with a vague release window in the fall. Now, fans of the series can get the exact date the game will be available in three major regions as the game has been confirmed for release in North America on October 13th, Australia on October 16th and Europe on October 18th.

Additionally, now that both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have been officially revealed, Activision has confirmed that there are versions of the game in the works for both next-gen consoles, in addition to the already announced versions for the Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and 3DS. In other words, chances are if you own almost any game console that still gets new games made for it, you’re probably going to be able to get a copy of Swap Force for it.

New features for Swap Force included a revamped and improved graphics engine, full backwards compatibility with every previously released figure from Spyro’s Adventure and Skylanders Giants, the new ability for characters to jump and 32 brand new character figures, 16 of which are the titular Swap Force characters, whose figurines will be able to separate into two halves and be mixed with other character’s parts for hundreds of unique combinations.

We will keep you updated on Skylanders Swap Force as more details become available.
