The latest update for Life Is Feudal: Your Own brings new weather systems to the game’s progression, but players will be happy to know that it’s not all just for show. The addition of snow and rain to the game’s climate can have an interesting and occasionally dramatic effect on how you’ll play the game – but of course, it does add a great new look as well.

The update – which you can see footage of in the video above – showcases the dramatic changes that inclement weather can bring to a world, and developers Bitbox explain how the changes will impact on your gameplay:

Weather and seasons aren’t just for show in Life is Feudal: Your Own. While rainy days are great for tree growth, livestock prefer the warmth of sunshine, and the perfect mix of both weather conditions can double or even triple crop yields. And who doesn’t love a good snowball fight? Of course, snow comes with a few complications of its own. If left to accumulate, snow will not only slow you down on roadways, it can eventually smother your fields and destroy your crops.

The developers have also confirmed that they are currently hard at work on a Life Is Feudal MMORPG while they continue to work on the existing game, so it’s certainly an exciting time if you’ve been a fan of their work so far.

This latest update is available now for all owners of Life Is Feudal: Your Own.
