Sony Announces Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End PS4 Bundle And Matching Gold Wireless Headset

As expected, Sony has hit the ground running, by announcing a host of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End themed hardware, including a limited edition PlayStation 4 console bundle and a matching Gold Wireless Headset. All are going up for pre-order soon (we're unsure as to when, though, given that the links on the official site don't work at this moment), and carry an April 26th release date.

All of the above share the same motif, carrying a blue/grey colour scheme and Uncharted-related wording. In fact, while the console presents a decal of a battered and bruised Nathan Drake, it also features the game’s name and logo in golden lettering, which matches its golden PlayStation insignia. The front isn’t left out, either, because it’s adorned with Sir Francis Drake’s famous motto, “Sic Parvus Magna,” or “Thus great things from small things come.”

On the accessories side of things, it seems as if the controller is text-free (which isn’t a bad thing), while the headset’s headband features a smaller version of the same motto. It fits better there, of course, given that there’s more realty.

In the end, this new suite of limited edition products caters to the hardcore Uncharted fans, who will want a themed console to play Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (which is also included with the console) on. However, due to its colouring, I feel that it may end up being more divisive than Sony expects, because the chosen shade of blue/grey won’t be for everyone. Still, I’d be lying if I said that the DualShock 4 wasn’t calling my name.
