Bungie’s sci-fi epic Destiny got the wheels in motion for Sony this evening, and to commemorate the maiden sizzle reel, the company unveiled an all-new PlayStation 4 bundle, which includes a 500GB ‘glacier white’ version of the system, a copy of the first-person shooter itself, and a 30-day trial version for Sony’s PlayStation Plus.

And though Sony remained coy on a specific price point for this rather enticing bundle, it’s understood that the package will hit the market in tandem with the launch of Destiny, which is scheduled to release on September 9th, 2014.

In terms of Destiny, though, Bungie revealed an all-new trailer for the forthcoming title that focuses on the history and lore of the game’s universe, and how exactly humanity become embroiled in the inter-galactic warfare.

Perhaps most intriguing, however, is the fact that the footage was narrated by none other than Peter Dinkalge. After all, with Mr. Frank Underwood (or, alternatively, Kevin Spacey) himself lending his dulcet tones to Sledgehammer’s upcoming Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Game of Thrones‘ own Charles Dance providing voice support for The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, enrolling reputable Hollywood actors is very much in vogue.

Elsewhere, Bungie also confirmed that a closed alpha testing session for Destiny will kick off this coming Thursday and, in order to be in with a chance of partaking in this selective play session, players can register through the game’s dedicated site. Fear not, though, for Sony plans to hold a full beta for the studio’s ambitious title on July 17th.

In the wake of today’s announcement, September 9th will herald the launch of the all-new white PlayStation 4 console and the Destiny game bundle.
