Hot off the heels of Solo: A Star Wars StoryElectronic Arts and DICE have confirmed new content for Star Wars Battlefront II as part of the game’s ongoing Han Solo Season, which is centered around everyone’s favorite, fast-talking gambler/pilot/what-have-you.

Starting June 12th, players will be able to make their way to the mining planet of Kessel (yes, of the “Kessel Run in 12 parsecs” fame), which is known for its harsh environmental conditions, brought on by the ongoing mining operations to harvest more coaxium. The new map will feature a variety of modes, including Blast, Hero Showdown and Heroes vs. Villains. The Extraction mode also makes a return, where Rebel players will be tasked with retrieving and escaping with a critical payload, while Empire forces will stop at nothing to squash their plans.

If you have enough in-game credits, you’ll also be able to pilot Lando’s Millenium Falcon for the first time, prior to when he lost it to Han Solo in a tense game of Sabacc. Flying alongside you is your trusty co-pilot L3-37, and if you need to get out of a jam, don’t forget to engage the Falcon’s coaxium injection boost. Lastly, there are a handful of new Appearances (costumes) for Han Solo, Lando and Chewbacca, all of which can be acquired with either crystals or credits.

Aside from all that content, there’s a handful of new fixes and tweaks as well which are detailed on the game’s official forums. Suffice it to say, there’s much to look forward to if you’re still playing Star Wars Battlefront II and as EA continues to release more details, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
