Can’t get your fill of zombie survival games? If you have an Xbox One and are eager to mow down droves of the undead, you may be interested to know that State Of Decay will be coming to the new-gen console next spring. Dubbed the “Year One Survival Edition,” it will feature all the gameplay mechanics and personality from the original Xbox Live Arcade version.
The developers behind the zombie title, Undead Labs, will be launching State Of Decay in a new, enhanced version that will support 1080p visuals. It will also include the DLC add-ons, Breakdown and Lifeline, with further announcements to be made about additional content that will become available in the near future.
Released on Xbox 360 on June 5th 2013, State Of Decay received positive reviews and sold more then 250,000 copies in 48 hours. Much of the game’s praise stems from its unscripted story, permanent player death (which makes playing that much more intense) and a living, breathing world to explore.
So far, there is no word on how much it will cost, but with the additional content and new-gen boost, State Of Decay is going to be a popular purchase for fans of the original, or for fans of zombie survival games in general.
In the meantime, you can check out the official trailer for the Year One Survival Edition below, and don’t forget to leave a comment letting us know if you’ll be picking it up.
