The footage — which is embedded above, for now — slates the game as a PlayStation 4 and PC exclusive, while also detailing some of the design inputs behind the studio’s as-yet-unannounced sequel. It’s unclear at this stage whether Street Fighter V will only make its bow on these two platforms or, in the more likely scenario, if the mascot fighter is a timed-exclusive.

Given that The Game Awards 2014 and Sony’s PlayStation Experience are set to take place over the next few days, it’s likely that Capcom had intended to reveal the game in earnest at one of those events. Alas, in a world where NeoGaf and YouTube exist, such a leak is no longer a rarity.

It’ll be interesting to see when Capcom formally reveal Street Fighter V; after all, this is the first numerical entry into the series since 2008 and will mark the franchise’s debut on new systems. After all, Ultra Street Fighter IV was met with critical acclaim when it blasted onto the scene earlier this year, so there’s no doubting the innate appeal of the franchise even in 2014.

There is no word yet on a release date or pricing for Street Fighter V, though we’ll be sure to keep you updated as more information appears. Until then, let us know what you make of the latest installment in the esteemed fighting series in the comments section below.
