While it never reached the same level of success as its predecessor, the Wii U Virtual Console is slowly amassing a rather nice catalog of games, which includes both handheld and console games from Nintendo’s illustrious past.

As reported by Polygon, a new batch of games is headed to both the Wii U and 3DS Virtual Consoles tomorrow as part of the eShop’s weekly update. On the Wii U, fans of Mario can pick up Super Mario 64 DSthe remake of the original Super Mario 64 which released back in 1996. This enhanced version adds a multiplayer mode and mini-games, along with new playable characters, including Yoshi, Luigi and Wario. These new characters each have their own unique powers and abilities, and gamers will be able to give them a go using the Wii U’s off-screen mode.

For those who have a penchant for fighting titles, Nintendo is also releasing a slew of Street Fighter games, which are available exclusively for the New Nintendo 3DS. Street Fighter 2 Alpha, Street Fighter 2 Turbo: Hyper Fighting, and Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers will be available as of tomorrow. Each of the Street Fighter titles will cost $7.99 (as of now, there is no discount for purchasing all three titles), while Super Mario 64 DS will be available for $9.99.

Unfortunately, due to the lack of processing power on the original 3DS hardware, these re-releases of Street Fighter (along with all other SNES games) will only be available for the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL.
