“Survival is timeless” for Ubisoft’s next game, but what time it’s set in is still a mystery to anyone who has seen the studio’s latest clue on YouTube today.

Described only by the quote above, the mysterious video depicts a cave painting of a crude humanoid figure armed with a torch and bow. There appears to be flickering embers from a fire in the backdrop, but beyond that, we’re clueless. “Coming Soon” is the only hint Ubisoft will give us in the meantime, so expect more news on this title as it comes.

Ubisoft’s For Honor, which is set in feudal Japan, medieval Europe, and the time of the Vikings, will be the earliest time periods the studio has ever set a game until now. This year’s Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, by contrast, will hit the streets of Victorian London.

There aren’t that many more months left in the year of 2015, so we’ll have to wait and see how Ubisoft is able to squeeze this new game into its already full calendar, which includes this October’s Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Just Dance 2016 and December’s Rainbow Six: Siege.

As always, we’ll keep you posted when we learn more.
