Today brings with it good news for zombie fans, as Telltale Games has confirmed that it intends to expand upon its The Walking Dead video game series with a third season. The announcement that us fans had been hoping for was made today at San Diego Comic-Con, by both the developer and the series' creator, Robert Kirkman, providing reason to celebrate on a hot July day.

What we know about this planned third season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead is exactly nothing. Then again, it’s not like we’d expect any story details given that the game’s dark second season has yet to conclude, having just released its fourth of five episodes this past week.

Stay tuned for more information as it develops, but don’t hold your breath. After all, we likely won’t hear much about The Walking Dead: Season 3 for quite a while.
