After a long week of near-silence on exactly when PS3 owners would be able to play The Walking Dead: Season Two, Telltale Games has finally confirmed that the premiere episode, All That Remains, will be available for purchase when the PS Store updates today. Unfortunately, the game’s Season Pass option has been held up for unannounced reasons and will not be available in time for the launch.
Telltale revealed the good/bad news on the PlayStation Blog, stating that they are “working with PlayStation to get the Season Pass option up as soon as possible,” and that fans should “stay tuned” for additional information.
For PlayStation 3 owners who want their decisions from the first season to carry over into The Walking Dead: Season Two, the lack of a Season Pass is a bit of a problem. They can either wait for the Season Pass to show up before playing All That Remains, or purchase the episode today for $5 and give up the 25% discount that comes with buying the entire season upfront.
If you were looking forward to jumping into The Walking Dead: Season Two on the PS3 later today, let us know your thoughts on the missing Season Pass in the comments below. Personally, I’m going to wait it out and hope that the cheaper option magically appears on the PS Store over the next couple of days.
