There’s A New Mass Effect: Andromeda Trailer Coming Tomorrow

A fresh trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda is due to land tomorrow, according to BioWare. Announced over on the game's official Twitter page, this teaser will place particular emphasis on the weapons and skills that Ryder will have access to throughout his or her journey across the Milky Way galaxy's mysterious and unexplored neighbor. The armory on offer to players in Andromeda is one of the last core mechanics of the sci-fi RPG that we've yet to see showcased in any detail, so tomorrow's video drop should go down a treat.

A fresh trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda is due to land tomorrow, according to BioWare. Announced over on the game’s official Twitter page, this teaser will place particular emphasis on the weapons and skills that Ryder will have access to throughout his or her journey across the Milky Way galaxy’s mysterious and unexplored neighbor. The armory on offer to players in Andromeda is one of the last core mechanics of the sci-fi RPG that we’ve yet to see showcased in any detail, so tomorrow’s video drop should go down a treat.

As for what we do know, previous trailers detailing the game’s pre-order bonuses and multiplayer mode seem to suggest that Biotic abilities from past entries will be returning, with Andromeda‘s lead designer Ian S. Frazier having also confirmed previously (via VG247) that players will have the opportunity to craft their own weapons. How in-depth the system will be isn’t clear, but it at least looks melee weapons – particularly Krogan-style hammers – are on the menu, so one can probably expect more advanced weaponry to become available as the story unfolds.

Given the close proximity of the new trailer, we’ll hold off on the intense speculation for now, but one thing’s for sure, BioWare’s certainly not afraid to make some big changes to the franchise with Andromeda. Not only is the developer looking to its contemporaries for inspiration, but it’s doing away with the Paragon and Renegade conversation system used in the original trilogy.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is out March 21 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Check back with us tomorrow for a full rundown of tomorrow’s trailer.
