Square Enix and Eidos Montreal announced today that Thief will bring manly candle snuffing techniques to the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 on February 25, 2014 in North America, and February 28, 2014 across Europe.

To celebrate the light at the end of the extremely long Thief development tunnel, Eidos Montreal released a brand new cinematic trailer today that gives fans a peek into Garrett the Master Thief’s world. Apparently, the masses — led by “Orion, the voice of the people” — are on the verge of revolting against the oppressive Baron Northcrest, who has been taking from the poor to “pad the pockets of the rich.”

It must be pretty crazy to live in a place where rich politicians only care about stealing power and wealth away from citizens in an effort to set themselves, and their friends, up as a permanent ruling class.

Good thing none of us have to worry about that!

At any rate, check out the latest cinematic trailer for Thief down below, and stick with WGTC for more coverage on the split-gen title as we get closer to its release next February.
