Titanfall Launch Trailer Promises Plenty Of Mech Warfare

It's hard to believe it but we've got less than one week to go now until the highly-anticipated Titanfall deploys onto the Xbox One and Windows PC. First revealed back at E3, Respawn Entertainment's mech-based shooter is set to take the gaming world by storm and to celebrate the upcoming launch, the studio has put out a new trailer that only serves to heighten our already off-the-charts excitement.

It’s hard to believe it but we’ve got less than one week to go now until the highly-anticipated Titanfall deploys onto the Xbox One and Windows PC. First revealed back at E3, Respawn Entertainment’s mech-based shooter is set to take the gaming world by storm and to celebrate the upcoming launch, the studio has put out a new trailer that only serves to heighten our already off-the-charts excitement.

All signs point to Titanfall being an early contender for GOTY, and if you played the recent beta I think you’ll agree with that sentiment. Simply put, the game just offers a fun factor that not many other titles can compete with. The addition of those hulking robots significantly changes the battlefield and the whole free-running element gives the combat a unique spin that’s not found very often in the genre. Of course, the beta was only a small representation of the full thing, but at this point, I see no reason to doubt what Respawn has cooked up for us.

In further Titanfall news, Vince Zampella has confirmed that there will be a season pass for the game:

“We’re not being pressured to do it [by EA],” Zampella says. “We’re going to do paid DLC, but we’re also going to do free updates. There are things that we want in the game that we didn’t get in the final game. So we’ll add private matches. We’re going to do a season pass, just because if you buy it up front, you get a deal. We’re not doing microtransactions. It’s just ‘buy it up front and you get a better price.’”

While I usually don’t go for season passes, I may have to make an exception here. I see myself sticking with this game for the long haul and I imagine that most people will do the same. Unless something drastic changes, I don’t think there will be any reason to pass up on the DLC that the studio has planned.

Check out the new Titanfall trailer below and let us know if you plan on picking it up next week.
