Of the many titles announced during E3 2013 this year, Titanfall arguably has one of the strongest interest/hype levels surrounding it. After all, the title was able to win Best of Show and six total awards. Not to shabby at all for the developer Respawn Entertainment’s first title.

If the hype and E3 trailer alone is good enough to convince you to fork over your wallet – PC gamers will be happy to know that a discount is afloat for those wishing to take the leap of faith.

Update: Unfortunately EA stopped retailers from discounting preorder on Titanfall. It was previously available on Gamefly and Green Man Gaming, but now preorder price everywhere is MSRP.

Being an EA published titled and a multiplayer-focused game, there’s no surprise that the game will be activating on Origin. Titanfall is currently only available on discount at Green Man Gaming (it was available at the same price at Gamefly, but the coupon code no longer worked – maybe Gamefly wised up?). Note again that this is a multiplayer game, so permanent internet connection is required to play the game.

Beyond winning Best of Show, Titanfall also won these coveted categories:

  • Best Original Game
  • Best Console Game
  • Best PC Game
  • Best Action Game
  • Best Online Multiplayer

Kind of reminds you of when Skyrim was named Best Game of 2011/2012 – even when it wasn’t released yet (talk about hype). Regardless, fans of FPS, mech, multiplayer team-based games will want to keep their eyes peeled on this title.

Finally, if you’ve somehow been living under a rock and have not seen the Titanfall trailer or gameplay demo, here’s the official E3 gameplay video:

For console gamers, pre-orders for Titanfall for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 are all still at MSRP. If there’s a deal for the console versions, we’ll be sure to update it here in the coming months!
