Activision refers to this new look as a behind-the-scenes feature, but that’s hardly the case. It’s merely a mixture of gameplay snippets and interviews with the pros who will be playable within the skateboarding title. Still, it’s somewhat interesting, but only due to the gameplay itself. The interviews, for lack of a better term, are pretty short and lack substance.

As this is the first THPS 5 trailer they’ve released since the game received its cel-shaded makeover, it’s our first opportunity to see the new visuals in action. And, while they mark a distinct change in direction from what we’re used to, they don’t look too bad.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 will ollie onto Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 29th, with online-lacking Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions set for release in November.
