Voice Actors For Marvel’s Avengers Game Say They’re Blown Away By It

Marvel's Avengers isn't just going to star some of the most famous comic book characters of all time but voice actors, too. As far as video games are concerned, the likes of Nolan North and Troy Baker are top of the pile when it comes to considering the industry's greatest. With hundreds of credits between the two of them - and many of those critically acclaimed, to boot - it's hardly surprising that their talents were sought after to help bring Marvel's Avengers to life.

With such a wide breadth of experience under their belts, both actors have been a party to some of the greatest games ever made (Uncharted and The Last of Us, to name but two), but even they were left floored by the sheer quality of Crystal Dynamics’ most ambitious project to date.

Speaking during a Q&A session at Manchester Comic-Con, North described an experience that many gamers will find all too familiar:

You always worry that [a game] looks so good, and then you get the game and you’re like, ‘oh gameplay doesn’t look as good.’ [Avengers] really, visually, it’s one of the most stunning things I’ve ever seen. And obviously with The Last of Us, Uncharted, they’re amazing, but [Avengers] blew me away.

High praise indeed. Especially so, when one considers the adoration heaped on both titles name-dropped by North upon their respective releases.

Baker, too, shared his own thoughts on the upcoming action-adventure, mimicking North’s praise to a tee.

It really honestly is [amazing]. I’m gonna share something with you: we saw the demo that they’re gonna release a week after Gamescom…I told our director, I was like cool, that’s a great demo, and I asked one question and he goes ‘No man, that’s all gameplay.’…It looked like a scripted event [and I was confusing it] with gameplay.

Suffice it to say, Marvel’s Avengers seems to have blown the socks off of all who have seen it in motion and we can’t wait to get a first (official) look at the superhero team doing what they do best. Speaking of, and as Baker rightly states, fans can expect Crystal Dynamics to finally lift the curtain on its latest and greatest ,following the conclusion of Gamescom in August. Stay tuned.
