In what might have just set the bar for unexpected character choices in a fighting game, Nintendo has just announced a third newcomer to the Super Smash Bros. series after confirming the Animal Crossing Villager and Mega Man in their initial announcement. The newcomer? None other than the female trainer from Wii Fit.

Revealed via a quite funny trailer below, Wii Fit Trainer will bring numerous exercise-themed moves and quips to the battlefield, including push-ups, hula hoops, backflips, and the ability to attack with iconic exercise poses. As you can see below, other famous Nintendo faces have trouble keeping her terrific posture.

Though definitely a character I doubt anyone saw coming, Wii Fit Trainer looks to be a unique addition to the Super Smash Bros. roster, and will definitely serve as an icon for Nintendo’s more casual side of gaming. As always, we will keep you updated as more characters and details for the game are revealed.
