The clock is ticking closer and closer to April 17, which is when The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings will finally be available on the Xbox 360. When the Enhanced Edition arrives, it will throw us console users into the midst of a role-playing storyline. Unfortunately, the first part of that tale is still inaccessible to our controller-holding hands.

Although CD Projekt RED‘s console port of the series’ debut hit a snag in what is referred to as development limbo, it doesn’t mean that we’ll all have to go in with confusion relating to what exactly is going on in its popular sequel. Not at all, actually. Thankfully, the aforementioned development team has created a lengthy, five-minute long flashback video just for us. It recaps the events which occurred throughout The Witcher, using an interesting and well-designed animated look.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (Enhanced Edition) will be released onto North American shores on April 17, 2012. It will be available for the Xbox 360 and PC, with a separate Dark Edition releasing for collectors.
